I have a no lease, roommate to roommate agreement with my girlfriend's family. Lately they haven't been treating us too well and this coming November they've decided to charge us an extra $120 rent for utilities top of our $840 for rent for a small room. The rent was supposed to include all utilities, i know that s few of them just ditch work which led to the fallback of bills, and all reason for logic does not work in this family. Should I not pay it?

Sorry typos, thumb typing... I meant to write. There is nothing worse than being the boyfriend, screwing their daughter, in their house and you haven't put a ring on her finger. They've decided ypubarent good enough because the guy thryvwont for hervus more successful... are you even in college??

Thats a ridiculous amount for a room unless you get free use of living room & kitchen. In case you haven't figured it out... this is called a "soft eviction" they wont throw you out, but will keep upping the pressure until you leave. There is nothing wors2 than being the guy having with their daughter who isn't married to her. Got news for you... they want YOU GONE... not her!!

I wouldn't pay that much for a single room. Move out and find something bigger and better and stop supporting this family. Maybe that is what they are trying to make you do anyway unless you specifically know different. You shouldn't have to put up with that.
