So, it turns out the 'Gay Girl in Damascus’ is actually a Croat living in London whose photos were stolen. Do you think any of the blog was true, or do you think it was just a stunt to highlight a cause? Do you feel bad at being duped by these kinds of things or does it not matter if the 'end justifies the means'?

Thank you for asking a real, and thought provoking question. I could careless about the whole situation, but it does highlight the fact that if you can manipulate the media you can shape world opinion, and that if the facts don't support you or your cause, you can just make them up. Just look at what GWB did with WMD. So it looks lie facebook and other social media is giving the comon person the ability to do the same. Pretty soon, there will be no truth out there at all.
