So I’ve been feeling kind of weird for a couple years now. It feels like I just don’t have the same enthusiasm for anything anymore and even though I have happy moments, the majority of my general happiness has gone down a lot. I don’t get as much sleep. It’s harder for me to think straight. I don’t react to anything as strongly as I used to. I began to feel this way right around two years ago when my dogs had to be put down. Do I have depression??

You pretty much just described almost all of the symptoms of depression, yeah. Be aware that getting better is a long and rocky road; it's not just a matter of taking the pills or doing the therapy, pills are a band-aid & therapy will just give you the tools - *you* are the one responsible for using them, and it takes time and practice. But, if you commit to it, you will learn to use them & in years to come you'll realise life can be pretty great :)

Stop whining about a stupid dog and grow up.

Maybe, you should go to a psychiatrist. There many good ones out there
