Luck is a sheer factor of karma, do good things and gain more luck.

/ MAR 30, 2017 4:50 PM EST
I really do believe that everyone has its own luck and you will see it one day. Just if you now think that someone is luckier than you one day everything may change. And luck itself was created by humans.

RUSSIAN FEDERATION / MAR 30, 2017 3:37 PM EST
Its really about the people you know

THE UNITED KINGDOM / JUL 4, 2006 9:38 PM EST
because life's a lottery and those who don't care about buying tickets end up winning

/ JUN 13, 2006 9:40 PM EST
Probably because people are envious of others and don't like to think that inequality is genetic.

Pretty simple, opposites attract, you can't have luck, unless you take chance with you likewise

THE UNITED STATES / FEB 5, 2006 12:38 PM EST
That's God's gaussian distrubution of choice.

TURKEY / JAN 25, 2006 9:44 AM EST

THE UNITED STATES / SEP 25, 2005 8:49 AM EST
If only hard work were the answer. Most of the child sweatshop workers of the world may disagree with that simplistic theory.

luck of the draw, I guess.

THE UNITED STATES / JUL 14, 2005 1:18 AM EST
I don't know.

THE UNITED STATES / JUL 14, 2005 12:40 AM EST
NO SUCH THING AS "LUCK"

THE UNITED STATES / JUL 13, 2005 9:46 AM EST
If by lucky you mean more likely to win-money/not get hit by a car/have-a-question-answered-semi-usefully-on-justcurio
.us - then it's chance. Random chance. There's no real "luck". You didn't pick to be born in the US instead of Somalia, or pick to not lose your arms in a tragic wheelbarrow accident. These things just happen. Einstein famously said that "God doesn't play dice with the universe" - but he was wrong. There is uncertainty in everything from the sub-microscopic and building up. You can influence your odds of some events via your actions, but if you take a lucky person and an unlucky one and get them to flip a million coins with Heads winning, they're still going to be 50/50 win-rate or there abouts (if unequal then then the contest can continue along with the ebb and flow). So, in essence, you make your own luck by your actions, and if someone seems to be having better luck than you, well so what. You gain on the swings and lose on the roundabouts. There is no luck.

THE UNITED KINGDOM / JUL 12, 2005 2:09 PM EST
Luck is statistical clumping, or the result unnoticed failures. Believing that luck is a function of work is just as mystical a belief as believing that it comes from a rabbit's foot.

THE UNITED KINGDOM / JUL 12, 2005 6:10 AM EST
Luck does not exist. You create your world. When you are "unlucky", take at look at yourself and find what you did wrong.

THE UNITED KINGDOM / JUL 12, 2005 2:16 AM EST
Aside from things like physical attractiveness, being born with money and any of the other things that can truly put you ahead in life, there is no one who is lucky and no one who is unlicky in life. Luck is a person working hard to achieve their goal. Evetually something good is about to come of it and others perceive that as luck.

THE UNITED STATES / JUL 11, 2005 9:52 PM EST
because they believe in luck
