I think 16 is a good age. This is when they typically start to be more independent since they can transport themselves, and unfortunately, do things behind the parents' backs. Not necessarily intimacy, but other things.

in response to: At what age is it appropriate for boys to start keeping c0nd0ms in their wallet? As a parent, I feel 15 is too young (for a boy who is mentally about 12 or 13).
I don't think she would really be anything, since your step father was related not by blood, but by marriage. Depending on your relationship with him now, he is technically nothing in terms of blood relation, so the woman is also nothing.

in response to: Over the last school year my friends and I drifted apart so much that we may as well be strangers. It all started around the middle of the year when they started getting really (I hate to use this word) bitchy about school. They just started to complain about the classes and the teachers. I tried to tell them what they were doing but they pretended like they weren't doing it at all. By the end of the year I spent all my time trying to avoid them. What should I do?
I would suggest to talk to him. It does feel a bit like you were taken advantage of. Did you know what was going on and then blacked out or were you already like that? Iv had sex with my husband that I just did to get it over with and even mentally just zoned out thinking about tv and other thingsI kinda felt crapAfter some thinking I was comfortable accepting that even tho It wasnt a good thing for both of us it wasnt enough to make it a problem for myself or to make it a issue.

Know your drama troll: "So I'm [fill in age between 11 – 25] and I'm [state relational drama or physical discomfort, preferably sexually oriented]. I tried [blabla], but in vain. [Or mention obstructive people or circumstances.] What should I do?"

in response to: I am 15 in less then a month, and my mom isn't allowing me to date. I've known this boy for almost three years, just as a really good friend. I really, really like him, and he likes me back. Whenever I ask my mom to tell me why I'm not allowed to date, she brushes it off, knowing that I feel like she's trying to make my world miserable. I know I'm mature enough to date, I want to have a serious relationship. This is what I want but my mom doesn't care. Any thoughts? (He's the same age as me)
Unspecified metrics of what defines greatness. America is better than the world average in many measures, which is to be expected for a rich, developed country...

UNITED STATES / JUL 27, 2016 1:55 PM EST

in response to: Why do Americans have the belief that their country is greatest on earth. What is it based on?
Because there isn't an objective measure of 'greatness'. In all measures America could probably improve, but there are limited resources so investment in one aspect of America sometimes equals divestment in a different area. Finally, it can be said depending on how you measure the county, America hasn't been great yet. It is easy to look into the past and cherry pick the victories without acknowledging the difficulties associated with an age.

UNITED STATES / JUL 27, 2016 1:50 PM EST

in response to: The slogan "Make America great again" clearly points out that America is definitely no longer the greatest country on earth. This fact still seems to be hard to accept for many Americans, though. Why is that?

in response to: (I'm 17) Why do girls my age say that they want serious relationships but go ahead and sleep around? I want a serious relationship but it seems like girls my age really don't. Most 20 year old girls that I ask for advice tell me that they slept around in high school. Why? Do teenage girls lie when they say they want serious relationships or is it just really difficult for them to admit the fact that they enjoy sleeping around to themselves?

in response to: (I'm 15) I just realized that I might be transgender. I always denied the possibility before, saying that it was just because I grew up with 5 brothers, and that they influenced me more than my 1 sister. I'm used to being called she and using feminine pronouns, but online I really like being called by male pronouns. Should I try to explain to my transphobic family who I am and risk getting kicked out, or should I just lie low and wait it out?
I think it may just seem like this because the girls that sleep around are the loudest and most noticeable. I do think that a lot of teenage girls deny that they like to sleep around because it's often frowned down upon, and leads to insults like slut and whore being thrown around. The girls that spend more time working towards their future are the ones that are more likely to want a serious relationship. :)

Me too, me too. I was trolled after I posted questions about a hypersexual boy aged 12, a transsexual female crossdresser, a preteen lesbian, an inexperienced shy college boy etc. It's outrageous. When you talk about your personal problems the least you should expect on a very, very serious site like this are some decent answers.
