No need to feel sorry for me. I accepted the reality of things many years ago. Death is natural. When my wife left to visit with her sister this morning, I knew there was a chance something would happen to her while she was gone and I'd never see her again. Same with the kids. At the end of the day, shit happens. Knowing that makes one appreciate things in a new light.

in response to: OK, It's apparent that the person who answers questions with 'mehxt' is bored with the question. I'm OK with them being bored, cos, quite frankly I'm bored with them. However pointing out that they're boring as hell to try and get them to stop answering 'mehxt' works as well as them posting that answer to stop people from posting the questions they find boring. So my question is this; what exciting questions can we ask to keep the 'mehxt' answer at bay?
That Limey knew what he was talking about.

UNITED STATES / OCT 8, 2014 10:26 PM EST

in response to: I was banned from GP because they couldn't handle the truth. They were intimidated by me because I was the only Cherokee on that site. Some ignorant Limey then said my opinions don't count because the Native Americans "were like dodo birds". That place is a toxic pool of ignorance and racism.
I quit. The Greeks knew more about math 5000 years ago than some here.

Wow. A High Quality Post with a High Quality Answer. Who knew it could happen here? I had heard a German use the term awhile back when the History Channel actually televised historical shows.

UNITED STATES / SEP 20, 2014 9:48 AM EST

in response to: During WW2, why did the German army refer to Sherman tanks as Ronsons? Wouldn't Zippos have been a more accurate name?
I knew a guy that had a boil on his lower spine and did that and he sucked out enough skin that his wife took him to the emergency room. Didn't have to stay but got a few stitches.

UNITED STATES / SEP 15, 2014 10:18 PM EST

in response to: I've had a slice of potato bandaged to my boil for an entire day now, and it's drawn out a nice head. Next I am going to do a heated bottle suction extraction.
I may be an asshole, but I knew what the guy meant. LOL!

in response to: WTF do you think this asshole meant by "Your punchline is the verbal equivalent of a played out Internet meme. It's not just a harmless, lazy, joke that you didn't invent or improve, it's a linguistic traffic jam. It's verbal filler that we have to wade through to get to a place of higher understanding."
oh please, everyone knew it

12:31 You did read the article right? I knew it was coming to this years ago. The Civilian Killers, a new documentary series starts on TV tonight. Oh, sorry, I made a mistake, it's a live broadcast. Will the troops do another Ferguson in the next couple of days? ...or Gaza, or Donetsk?

UNITED KINGDOM / AUG 18, 2014 12:51 PM EST

in response to: Ferguson cops gone wild. Paul Craig Roberts. Interesting.
I have 3 comments on your response. 1) You already knew what the subject matter contained by reading the question. If it offended you, why did you read the answers?

I hate to interject here; but, before the Cherokee were forced off their land, that stretched all the way from the NY are all the way down to Mexico, they lived in highly social societies. They knew how to adapt to the changes. Up until the discovery of gold in GA, they lived along peacefully with the settlers. It wasn't until after they had to endure the Trail of Tears; that they were forced into the "White Man's" way, beliefs, etc.

in response to: Yodel... Ahh Hem, yodel *takes a sip of water*... Yodel Aaa He Hoooo! :)
If you knew you had only 2 weeks to live, you'd find lots of motivation.

in response to: Where can I find some motivation?
As far as the political correctness of the cartoons; no it has not. Those of us who grew up watching them knew the difference between silly animation and reality.

UNITED STATES / JUL 28, 2014 11:56 AM EST

in response to: The question below regarding Looney Tunes prompted me to look them up. Quite a few of them have been banned due to political correctness. Which begs the question- is the world a better place today due to political correctness?
