I swear everytime you post that word, I cannot help to think of theme song from movie with that title: "..They say this cat Shaft is a bad mother. Shut your mouth. But I'm talkin' 'bout Shaft.." Lol

One of my favorite lines was from one the movies. He said to Kirk: "You have been and always will be my friend."

OK, sooo, I never told this story before so here goes... I went to the flicks w/ this dude who really liked me, and during the movie, you know, there really isn't room for holding the soda, candy, popcorn, whatever... So, I had this huge freaking jug of soda in between my legs to keep it stable and my hands free... Well, later during the movie, dude doesn't ask for the soda, he turns and sorta bends and drinks from the soda in between my legs! It was highly erotic ... Yerp!

in response to: What should I do if the guy I am going with to the movies happens to put his arm around me? Look at him happy? Rest my head on his shoulder? We are going to see a cartoon and his friend is coming, so the chances are unlikely but I just wanna check. :)
Not really. Just work. Home. Watching a Merlin movie starring Sam Neill, he is my favorite actor to play the character.

He doesn't seem to fit in with the people. I've never seen a 40's hipster before anyway. I thought the Beats were 1960's. When I looked at old movies it was always the 60's, not even the 50's. You know, beat music, mid 60's? Since the 60's there has always been a distortion of history. Since music went 'heavy' modern culture is one ugly fvcking Elephant Man of a culture. I've no doubt time travel exists. A dimension in physics. Why is it beyond experimentation?

in response to: Why is the "1940s Hipster" photo used as evidence that time-travel exists when it literally is a photo of a 1940s Hipster? Don't these people know anything at all about the Beat Generation?
I don't even like movies.. never have..

in response to: I was always looking forward to a time when I could go to the video rental place & get movies I liked and not my brothers, but now there aren't video rentals anymore. There's Netflix, but it's not the same.
I suppose sometimes its dramatic sometimes its moody. That's why it works in the movies. I don't really like it though.

They say it takes 21 days to develop any habit and 21 days to break one... Couldn't you do something else that'll make you feel in the moment and happy... Like watch a movie. :) Or some other substitution?

Testing. Hope I didn't tick the Monkey off.I must confess, I don't think I have ever seen Clara Bow in a movie, but when the book moblie came around (those two times) I picked out a book with the most beautiful photos of actors from the 30's.As the author noted, she had "IT" I am going to have to see her in a film, but her 'something' does come through.

it is from this or that book, then just to make themselves look cblridee, but are making it up to sell movies, trick the naive people, thats not a source! Anyone believing this garbage might as well ask the Lord to give them their receivers mind, so they can join Satan in deceiving as many poor souls as they can!

I know , at least the first 1/3 of the movie is riddled with hcatoriisl inaccuracies. No question here. To make it valid they would require substantial proof. I still find it entertaining and quite plausible to imagine a lot of stories are rehashed fables from eras prior. As a scientist, I must hold Zeitgeist at arms length, exactly like I hold ANY religion and theology at arms length. scientific method is not helped by people who will never prove a null hypothesis.

I hate CGI in movies, unless it is very very subtle.

in response to: Will computer graphics ever have a sense of Šsthetics again like in the 1980s? Back then, CGI short films all had an elegant sense of abstract surrealism, while hinting back to the great art of the Renaissance. The low-tech, blocky graphics of the time actually added character to these short art films. Now days, all CGI films are just fart jokes for the kids. Will elegance and dreamy surrealism ever make a comeback?
Oh, please. How many p˘rn/ movie stars do the same thing: fake boobs, genital plastic surgery, and hormone therapy to keep them looking young and sexy? The only reason why they would need therapy is because of the hatred people like you spew forth from your mouth.

UNITED STATES / JAN 17, 2015 5:12 PM EST

in response to: Why did trannies try to get on the gay rights bandwagon? Dudes shagging dudes is one thing. That can occur in nature. But trannies take taxpayer money to mutilate their bodies... and they still end up killing themselves anyway. I personally think trannies need therapy, not genital mutilation, fake boobs, and hormone treatments. It's unnatural, expensive, not convincing at all, depressing, creepy, and enabling people's mental illness isn't how you get them to overcome it.
